There must be far more persimmon varieties than I have ever been aware of. I recently procured some from California. Like nothing I have ever seen. Same awesome flavor. Almost. Same awesome anyway....

What a pretty collection of peach pits in your palm there! I enjoyed learning the history behind them. The taco & glazed chicken recipes sound delightful.

I cast a vote for the plums next week!

Oh, plum, please! There are so many native plums and I don't think they are appreciated enough. I have two Mexican Plums (native here in Texas) and want Chickasaw plums but they aren't available commercially so I may have to rustle a couple of seedlings up somewhere.

Apropos of nothing but yumminess, the peaches from Mesa county CO are the best I’ve ever had.

Hello I’d like to hear a bit about all the fruits but I do want to hear more about plums and pluots, specifically. Thanks!

That’s hilarious. I like European pears better myself.

I'm usually all about the texture in my food. For some reason, when it comes to pears, I can skip it.🤣

Grafting is the only method of reproducing the exact same tree. If you or someone else loves that certain fruit, the method ensures a replica.

If you want to clone something from your saved seed hybrids, simple cuttings are superior. The practice of grafting is best in only a small percentage of instances. It has weakened the species.

I agree. That’s why I like to grow from seeds as often as possible.
